Tis' the Season to be Over :)

Well we survived it... The Football season anyway :) and by we I mean me and Kaydence haha! Snow College Badgers finished the season with the record of 9-3!! I am soo proud of Britt and the other coaches!! It wasn't an easy season but they stuck to it and battled the whole time. After losing to Eastern Arizona 41-14 and losing 8 players to suspension for two games they played their hearts out and battled all odds to only having 3 loses! When we got the word that we were going to play Eastern in the Top of the Mountain Bowl I was pretty disappointed at first. I was hoping to play a team who wasn't so openly arrogant and completely full of themselves but after beating them 36-9 I feel a lot better and am happy the team got to redeem themselves!!! It fired up the players and motivated them to get the WIN! It was exciting to also watch family play with the Badgers, Joe Summers and Garland Munns! They both did very well and will be back next season. GO BADGERS!!

Lisa and I!!! Not sure why I have a stupid look on my face :( But I love this woman! We got together a lot during the season and were kind of each others support system when our husbands were gone! I admire her so much and am very blessed to have her friendship! Thanks Lisa love you!!

These are the defense coaches and I have really enjoyed getting to know them and being around them! They are a great bunch of guys!

Britt is happy to have his first season as the DC (Defensive Coordinator) over with and is looking forward for next season :) He will be recruiting, preparing for spring ball, and teaching classes at the college so he will still be pretty busy but who isnt!!!

I am loving being at home with Kaydence!! Its great to have time to fix meals, play games with her and catch up on my reading! Since being home I have read many book series, taught myself how to crochet (thanks to you tube haha) and much more. I do miss teaching a little but then I just have to remind myself how hard it was to leave Kaydence and I'm ok :)

Kaydence is learning so much and growing up way too fast! She jabbers all day long and is starting to make sense! haha! She LOVES cows, puppies and meows :) if she sees any of these animals she repeats the name until you know what shes seen! She loves going to my parents farm! She loves all the cows and always wants to go see them and all the cats my grandma has :) Since its gotten a lot colder and I mean A LOT its been hard keeping her in the house because we were always going for walks and to the park. Thank goodness she will watch a movie and since the beginning of December she plays with this Little People Nativity scene and it is soo cute! She is a very good pretender and I can already tell she has a great imagination! Im so excited she is staring to do this because I feel kids are losing this and not really allowed to pretend play :) Her hair is slowly getting longer!! I'm excited to do all these cute hair dos I keep seeing! Grow hair grow!

This morning I found out that my Grandpa Munns had passed away... Its one of those bitter/sweet situations. He was ready to return to our Heavenly Father, but we will miss him dearly! What a great reunion it will be with his three children!! My uncle Terry, Aunt Jody, and Aunt Becky!!!
My grandpa was such a great grandpa! I remember sitting out on hot summer days eating watermelon and having seed spitting contests, riding in his farm truck around town, how much he enjoyed Lawrence Welk, and many many more! I also remember playing over at their house and if he was sitting in his chair everytime we would walk by he would make a sound like he was going to snatch you up! I enjoyed listening to his war stories and any other story he would tell me! I am so glad I got a 4 generation picture this summer at our family reunion! We love you and will miss you Grandpa Eldon!!!

Caught RED handed!!!

So I was upstairs cleaning the bath tub before her bath tonight and when I came downstairs I find a red Kaydence! Yep I typed it right, she was covered in RED ink. Because we are moving I am in the process of cleaning out my classroom so i brought alot of things home to pack. Well in an open box, there were all my ink pads and stamps so of course she had to grab the teacher one not the washable kid one!
Let me just tell you what the ink pad says: Acid Free (well good) Dries quickly (not so good) Non-Toxic ( really good) Fade Resistant (are you kidding me?) Easy Clean Up (ha not so much) so after alot of screaming, alot of scrubbing, and alot of laughing, the red has faded to a pink color... So glad church is tomorrow :) going to be fun explaining this over and over again :(

On the MOVE again!!!

Well its true we are moving! We will be moving back to Ephraim :) I say back because that is where we lived before moving to Salt Lake. Britt will be the new Defensive Coordinator for Badger Football at Snow College! We are thrilled for this opportunity and are excited for this new chapter. Britt has to be down there this Friday to get started on things and I will stay in Salt Lake till the end of August finishing up things here. I have to clean out my classroom, pack and clean our apartment, move and all that jazz by myself so it will probably take the whole month of August for Kaydence and I to be ready because we have alot of stuff! Hahaha so if anyone is extremely bored Im sure I can find something fun and exciting for you to do! ;) :)
I am sad to leave my school... I teach with alot of great teachers and have a supportive principal and both have taught me alot through my first years of teaching and have made me a better teacher! I will miss them deeply but we will definitly keep in touch! At the moment I do not have a teaching position down there and because its so late in the summer I'm not going to try and get one. I will put my name in the district and if something comes up I might take it but for now I will enjoy being a stay at home mommy!
The coaching staff at Utah has been extremely supportive of Britt leaving and he has made many life long friends there! They told him they hate to see him go but they all know what a great opportunity this is for his career so Thanks guys for your support!! We are excited for team and wish them the best of luck in their journey with the Pac 12! We will definitly cheer them on and be watching their success... GO UTES!

Swim Class

For two weeks Kaydence and I attended a mommy and me swim class! It was 4 days a week for two weeks. It was fun and a good way to get out of the house :) It was an indoor pool so it was really nice not having to put on sunscreen that much! Kaydence did really well, she was one of the oldest in the class. It was mainly to get them use to the water and not to be afraid of it so i wanted to take it a step further and help her learn to row her arms and kick her feet as well as going under the water without freaking out. The last part will probably take awhile but she is getting better with letting water touch her face. We would sing songs to go with the actions we were teaching and you can bet that they were stuck in my head all day long! We have a swimming pool at our apartment complex so now we can go and practice often. I wanted to get a picture of us doing the class but didnt figure out how cause Britt had to work so we didnt get any :(
The summer vacation is going by WAY to fast. It has been really nice and I am going to enjoy it while it lasts! haha!

Too little for Tarzan...

I recently joined Disney Movie Club and got 5 movies for 20 cents and 2 more at a discounted price! Yay! One of those movies I got was Tarzan so I decided to put it in for Kaydence because she loves monkeys! If you dont remember the first it starts out with that leopard killing the baby gorilla and then the mother gorilla hears baby Tarzan and goes to find it. When she finds it the leopard had killed the parents and was still there. Well when they started the chase between the leopard and the mama gorilla/baby tarzan Kaydence got really worried and kept saying no,no,no softly and had little tears in her eyes. OH MY GOSH did i feel like a horrible mom?! YES! I almost shut it off but because she knew what was going on I felt like I had to show her he would be okay. After that she lost all interest and got down.... Poor thing :( Shes going to have a tender heart and I know I keep saying this but it blows my mind how smart she is!

Kaydence's First Time at the Movies!

The last couple weeks Kaydence has really been into the movie Kung Fu Panda! So I thought that she would like to go to the movie theater and see Kung Fu Panda 2 :) Well I was little ambitious... Haha :) She sat through the first 10-15 minutes and then was done! She ran up and down the isle, danced and played in the front of the theater, and jabbered almost the whole time! Luckily the movie was so loud you couldnt really hear her. We went to a theater that wasnt very popular so there was only one other family there with us. If there were more people we for sure would have left but it wasnt so we stayed. I think we will wait a couple more years before we attempt taking her to a movie again! She had fun though and got popcorn and M&M's. What a lucky girl :)

Benefit Show

Last week I went to Garland and participated in a benefit show for a very special woman in my life, Janet Carter! It was soo good to do something special for her since she has impacted my life greatly. Getting up on stage again and singing felt so good! I wish I could participate in the Fall shows! It was really great to see old friends and reconnect again. Thanks Hollie for taking on a huge task and getting everyone together! I hope we can do this again soon!

Just 4 more days of school and we are out for the summer! I seriously cannot wait! Alot of time will be spent at the park, pool, and outside so please weather cooperate. Anyone is welcome to join us whenever you want! Kaydence is definitly an outdoor kid which will keep me off my butt this summer! I want to be active and try new things so anyone that has suggestions please let me know!

I was looking through my "Edit Posts" tab and realized I have alot of drafts that I havent published!! When I actaully get on to do one, I get started then get interupted then by the time I get back on here again and read what I wrote I feel like its too late so I dont publish them!!! What an awesome blogger I am....
On Thursday I went to the canery with some sisters from my ward for I think my first time ever! It was great to learn so much about food storage and get started with our own! Theres still alot I can do to get prepared but hey at least I can say I have started!
Kaydence is so fun! She pretty much goes all day long... running around the house, going up and down the stairs, and jabbering nonstop. She is getting excited to be outside more, the last couple days that have been nice and warm we let her run around in our little patio and enjoy the sunshine!! So go away snow and cold, its springtime!!!
I just finished parent/teacher conferences last week and its a relief to have those over. Its nice to see the growth and improvement in my students, and to see that they are learning!!! I cant wait for spring break in April! Kaydence and I are getting out of Utah and visiting my sister in Minnesota! The lasts couple times she has come to Utah for springbreak it has snowed so this time I am going there and it better be sunny!!!!

I have a 1 year old! What?!

Kaydence turned one January 26th!

On Wednesday we had a party just us and it was fun! I made her a spaghetti dinner and let her feed herself! She absolutely loved it:)

We had her Minnie Mouse party the following saturday and it turned out great! It was a small family party and thank you everyone for coming:) My dear friend Lindsey made her birthday outfit and it was adorable! Kaydence looked so cute in it and was truly the princess of the party! One of her cousins saw her and said, "Ahh its a princess baby"! it was sooo cute! When i went back through my pictures and realized I didnt get a really good one of her outfit!!! So when i do i'll post them.

I felt ambitious and made her a healthy 1st birthday cake! She loved it, there was just alot of it:) And for everyone else I made Minnie Mouse and Daisy cupcakes! They turned out pretty good I think:)

Kaydence is such a spunky little girl and I love it! I absolutely love her personality and the funny things she does! She loves to sit on the stairs and talk! We have had some of the best talks on our stairs :) She has learned how to kiss and loves to give kisses and blow kisses when she wants to:) she will go around and kiss her toys, its pretty stinkin cute!

Anyways her first birthday came pretty fast but has been a great adventure this far!

Thoughts about Bullies by Kindergaten

So i have to share this story because its too funny! I love my job and yes i do have days that I wonder if i can do it but on days like the following its soooo worth it! SO we were about to go to an assembly about bullies, i wanted to see what my class knew about the word "bully" so i asked them, "Do you know what being a bully means?" Their responses...

First Utah Game

Utah beat Pittsburg 27-24 in overtime! It was a nail biting game and im sure glad we came out on top! What a great way to start the season!! Kaydence was such a good little fan! She yelled, she laughed, she slept :) she did so good the whole time we were there:) :) What a great game buddy she will be!! Here are some pictures of the game! Britt's parents invited us camping up Ogden Canyon so we went up Friday and Saturday!!! I would have loved to stay longer but Britt needed to come back to get some stuff done! I love camping and wish we could go more often.... Kaydence loved to sit and watch the fire, i hope we dont have a pyro on our hands!! She did pretty good through out the night but of course I didnt get much sleep... she has got to be the worst person to sleep with! She moves, talks, whines, kicks... note to self use a porta-crib next time :):)

Summer at last!

We have a pool at our apartment complex and so last week I took Kaydence swimming for the first time and she LOVED it! She doesnt splash much but thanks to the other kids that were jumping in she got splashed plenty! We got these sunglasses and bathing suit at Babies'R'Us! Thay had a sale of buy one suit get the other free! and i couldnt pass up the sunglasses!

I am sooooo loving being at home with her all day!! I am absolutely loving it! She is learning new things everyday and started eating baby food. So far she loves sweet potatoes and peaches, but hasnt made her mind up about carrots. I hate them because they stain everything it touches! The first one is blury cause she wouldnt hold still she was so excited! The other picture is her waiting patiently for her food to warm up! She loves her high chair!

Kaydence is starting to roll more often now! I had her on her back and went in the kitchen to get something and came back to her on her tummy! Sneaky girl!

4 months and growing

So I know in my post before I said that I could get on blog at work and keep up.... Well I was wrong, I cant get on blog at work and we still dont have internet at our apartment so yeah!
Our life is of course crazy! Just like everyone else. We are moving next week and I havent even started to pack, clean, all that stuff. We dont get out of school until June 4th so I am dealing with ending my 1st year teaching and all the joys of moving at the same time.... Crazy much!! I cant wait for summer! Relaxation with Kaydence is very much needed!! Just in case you didnt know we were moving, we are staying in Salt Lake just moving east to a better area. I've never moved with a baby and I dont really want to! If anyone wants to come do all the packing, cleaning, moving boxes up and down 3 flights of stairs for me while I just play with my baby is more than welcome to :)
Kaydence is 4 months old and the best baby ever! I know everyone says their baby is but she really is :) She sleeps through the night, jabbers, laughs, and plays all the time! She is growing so fast! She is due for her 4 month shots next week and boy am I NOT excited for those. She did soo good on her two month ones but I was a wreck.... Hopefully this time is a little easier (on me haha).

Holy Moly its been forever since I have been able to get on my blog!!! We dont have internet at our house and at work it wouldnt let me on :( until now!!! I found a way!
So much has happened the last couple months.... Kaydence is 8 weeks today :) She is the best baby ever! SHe is so flexible and has handled me going back to work pretty well! The first week was a little rough putting her on a new schedule and then having daylight savings time but everything is good now. I am back to work and let me tell you how much it sucks! I wanted to go down to part time but they wouldnt let me so I have to finish out the year full time and then decide for next year. Luckily the U is being super awesome in working with Britt and allowing him to stay with her in the mornings and then going in, in the afternoon. Kaydence is a very happy, smiley baby! I have never seen such a smiley baby this young :) Its so fun! She LOVES to be talked to, she tries so hard to talk back :) at two months, its crazy! Now I know what everybody means by the grow up too fast.

Here is an announcement that my fabulous friend Lindsey put together for her! Thanks Linds! I have had them for a couple weeks and still havent got them mailed!!! So here is a sneak peak but I will try and get them sent out soon!

Other wonderful news: Jesse and Karli had their baby boy, Kayden, February 26th! Congrats you guys :) Luke is getting married on April 2nd and we are all very excited for him and Echo! Darbie is coming to Utah for 8 days and I couldnt be more excited!!! Luckily she is coming during my spring break so I will be able to spend most of the time she is here up north!

Well I could go on and on but I better get some work done!

Announcing Kaydence Maree Maughan

Our precious baby girl, Kaydence Maree Maughan, was born January 26th and not a moment to soon :) She weighed 7 pounds and is 20 inches long! She is absolutely perfect and we cant get enough of her! She has the not so lovely jaundice so her schedule is 3 hours under the bililights and 1 hour with us to feed and cuddle which is not enough time at all :(We cherish every second we have together... I was dismissed today but they want to keep her another night so luckily we are able to stay in the hospital with her under "hotel care" whichs just means we don't have nurses taking care of us just Kaydence.

Britt is already an amazing dad and loves his daughter so much! I love to watch them together and see how much he loves her! He is going to be an awesome daddy :)

Im not sure the next time I will be on the internet cause its so crazy at my house so I will blog now.... I know you want pictures but I forgot my camera cord to upload pictures and the internet is currently not working at our apartment so I promise as soon as I can I will post pictures!

My labor and delivery went really well! I was so blessed :)

I was at school teaching my kindergarten class on Monday when my water started leaking, and contractions picked up a little so i text Britt and told him I thought my water broke so he called the doctor and the nurse told us to come in. Luckily an aid came and took my class and i met Britt at our apartment and went to the hospital. When we got there they checked me and said my water hadn't completely broke but i could have a small leak so they kept me for awhile then sent me home and told me to watch it. SO then of course I was disappointed but we went home and went to dinner, spent time together and relaxed. THe next morning, Tuesday, I had an appointment with my doctor and he was a little concerned about the leaking fluid so he suggested he brake my water and get things rolling. So we went downstairs to get admitted to the hospital and around noon he broke my water. Thats when the contractions picked up a ton and lasted as long as i could then got the coveted epidural and things got better :) I went from being dilated a 4 to a 10 in an hour and a half then pushed for about another half hour-hour and out she came! Like I said earlier, very blessed to have such a good delivery and had an amazing doctor!

Welcome Baby Kason!

We have a new addition to our family! My sister had her baby November 5th! She had a healthy baby boy and named him Kason William Redford! He was 7 pounds 6 oz and 20 inches long! Both baby and mom are doing well and she couldn't be happier! She says he is such a good baby and I'm glad! I just wish we lived closer together so I could hold my new nephew :( Congrats and we can't wait to meet him!

Much Needed Update!

So as you know, I have been quite the slacker when it comes to my blog :) I could blame my computer being extremely slow and constantly kicking me off.... but i wont!!!
Nothing much has changed in our lives...yet. But in a couple of months we know that it will drastically :) I am teaching Kindergarten and 4th grade Languauge Arts. The 4th grade at one school and the kindergarten at another. They are only about 3 miles apart but its definitly not something I would recommend a pregnant first year teacher but its doable :) Other than being really tired at the end of the day, its going pretty well! I have been extremely blessed to have such a good pregnancy during this time. I am 27 weeks along and have started to feel pregnant :) Shes very active and healthy! Shes getting bigger and stronger so her movements are definitly noticeable! She does not like it when I fold my arms and put them on my tummy! She kicks me if I leave them there for very long... Hahaha it makes me laugh! My last doctors appointwent went very well and I have another in a couple of weeks. We havent really started baby planning because life is already crazy as it is! I know its going to come faster than I am ready for but hopefully it will just come together (haha right) so if any of you have any advice... it would be much appreciated!!
Britt is of course enjoying the football season :) Working hard, long hours still. Utah is doing well and has only lost 1 game!! They have 5 more season games and then after that will depend on how the rest of the season went :)
My sister is due the first of November but we are all anxious for him to come now ;) It just sucks she lives so far away :( I can't wait to see who he looks like! We wish her all the luck in her delivery!

Change?! Not so sure I like change...

The craziness just keeps flying at us! I am now teaching 1/2 day 4th grade and 1/2 day Kindergarten. One of the schools I was at had to surplus a couple teachers because they didnt get the numbers in to keep all the teachers. Which in a way is ridiculous because after they lose the teachers, the class sizes go way up and come on people... kids do not learn with 27-32 kids in the classroom. In a way thats where Utah's education system is ridiculous. So i was moved to a new school to teach 4th grade... So that means ANOTHER classroom to set up, a new ciriculum to learn and prepare, and new students to know and teach. Luckily I have a 3 day weekend to kinda get up the energy to start again on Monday.... The joys of being a new teacher and getting moved around to where ever. But at least I have a job and for that i am extremely grateful!!!!
Britt also has been working longer hours than usual. Most days I go to bed before he even gets home and he leaves before I get up. So any spare moment that we can see each other is very much appreciated! I just keep telling myself it will only last a few more months and it helps :) Well thats pretty much it right now, we are pretty much workaholics that are never home... haha! It's a ...

I had my 20 week ultrasound on Friday and we found out we are having a GIRL!!! We are extremely happy and excited :) Seeing the ultrasound was incredible! It was the best experience ever. When we first went in to the doctor around 9 weeks we saw a lump that was becoming a baby but this time we saw a little person who had all this detail and parts it was so amazing. She was a little stubborn not letting see what she was but after alot of poking and proding we got a couple clear shots showing us she was in fact a girl! It was so crazy to see how much she is moving!! I can feel her more everyday but still just little movements. After seeing how much she is actually moving makes me excited to know everything is going good. I cant wait till her movements are strong enough for Britt to feel. He told me the other day he was a little jealous that I could already feel her and he can't :) It was so cute! This little girl will be wrapped around his finger the second he sees her and I can't wait!! Here is a profile picture they took of her :) We can't wait to see who she looks like!

It was so amazing what we saw in the ultrasound I wanted to share a little bit with you! You can see that she is kicking so much and of course where she was kicking was my bladder :) Because you have to go in with a full bladder to the ultrasound it wasnt helping at all! The technician pointed it out and all i could think was "yeah so hurry up so i dont pee on the table!!" We saw her head, body and spine, arms, hands, legs, feet, etc. At one point she was holding her feet and it was so cute! Thats when I lost it and started crying... It was just so amazing and i know i have said this alot, but I just couldnt believe that in about 4 more months im going to have a daughter and its now starting to feel real :) Anyways like i said before here is a little clip of our miracle!

Ready or Not Here They Come!!!

Well I had my first week of school last week but it was assessment so I only had one student at a time for 30 minutes!!! It was fun meeting them and seeing their fun little personalities. Some I can tell will be a handful but it will be fun and exciting! In between testing each student I'm still in the process of getting my room ready so once i have them done i will post pictures.
I couldn't decide what i wanted the students to call me because my last name is so hard for them to say, sometimes it comes out Mrs. Mom. So I told them to say whatever is easier for them, Mrs. Maughan or Miss Amanda and one little girl slaughtered Miss Amanda saying Miss Amamnada... so now I figure i will be called all sorts of things and will answer to whatever comes out of their mouths as long as its appropriate :) Haha! So tomorrow will be the first day of teaching and i will admit I'm alot nervous and hope I can survive the first week :)
Utah's first game is this week !!!Its Thursday against Utah State in Salt Lake, and I think its going to be a good opening game. Britt has been working many long hours and it all pays off at the games! Especially when they win!
Last night was Snow College's first game and Britt and I listened to it on the Internet. I will admit it was very weird listening to it with him and not Lisa. I almost said did you miss the bus? Why aren't you there?! Its so weird not being there anymore and apart of the Badgers....and last night made us miss Ephraim so much:( But enough with that, They won 37-28!! They had a rough time but pulled through regardless of the idiot calls the retarded refs made. We are excited they won and are proud of the Badgers!!! Good Luck with the rest of the season :)
The Fall for us has officially started with football season and school starting. The next four-five months will fly by and before we are ready we will have a new little person living with us and the real challenge begins :)

Today was another doctor's appointment and once again everything is going great!!! The baby's heartbeat is still strong and the coolest thing to hear! I look forward to that part everytime:) An exciting thing that happen was me and the doctor were listening to the heartbeat and the doctor said it sounds like a ..... (haha you really think i would tell you this early! NOT :)) So now hearing what the doctor thinks we are having i am getting very anxious for September 4th to come and hear the final verdict AND to see if he is right:) I seriously hope school makes the next 3 weeks go by fast!
Now that the season has started with fall camp i rarely get to see Britt :( But having to set up two classrooms has definitly kept me busy and tired! I can't wait to meet my kids next week. It will be nice because the first week of school the kindergarten has assessment so they dont start coming till the 31st so it will give me the opportunity to get to know them and where they are at before i have to start teaching...
I know Britt is loving the season starting, i love it when he comes home and tells me how great his day was :) Both of us are counting down to the first game and finding out the sex of the baby since they are only 1 day apart :) But man i cant believe how many die-hard Ute fans i have ran into... I mean true Ute fans!! I think it will be a fun atmosphere to be in other than i will truly miss my game buddy Lisa :( It wont be the same...

Went to the doctor today! Very quick appointment... The baby's heartbeat is good and strong, and everything else looks great! We will find out the sex of the baby September 4th and for Britt it can't come soon enough! It's actually fun for me to watch him throughout this process because he has to be more patient:) He is use to being in control and with this he's not so its fun for me to watch! We are definitly enjoying the summer and the time we have been able to spend together just the two of us... Especially once the fall comes it will be crazy! Football, School, Teaching and Baby :) He has been really supportive and great with putting up with my pregnancy issues! I know he will be an amazing dad! This has been a fun journey so far and we are so blessed to be where we are!

My new nephew Landon Clint Munns was born June 30th! He weighed 7lbs 9oz :) He is so handsome! I cant wait to get to see him grow up! Britt and I went to go see Emily, LaMont and Landon today and it was fun to get to visit and hold him! It was really cool to see my little brother with his new baby boy:) He is going to be such a good daddy! They both will be great parents!! We wish them luck and love them so much!

For those of you that don't know yet....I'M PREGNANT! Im about 9 weeks along, and my due date is January 25th. Today was our first appointment and we got to see the heartbeat! It was amazing :) The heartbeat was good and strong! Everything else looks good! (Thank you Lisa for the doctor referral! He is great!) So we are pretty busy baby wise in our family... my sister-in-law is due really soon and Darbie is due in November! So we are all pretty excited!
Britt has been doing summer football camps the last couple weeks and might be doing a couple more than has a break before the season starts again in August! Its been nice being able to see him more :)
I've gone to see my classrooms and I will soon have to start getting those set up! I have alot of work ahead of me... But I'm excited to be back in the school! Just in case you were wondering about the "classrooms" I will be teaching at two different schools. A morning kindergarten at one and an afternoon kindergarten at another. They are about 3 blocks away from each other so it will be an easy and fast commute! Both principals are really cool :) Things could change by August but for right now thats what i will be doing!

Hey everybody! We found a place to live! We moved to a cute little two bedroom apartment in West Valley :) We have a pool, tennis court, and a excercise room to keep us active! Today is our 2 year Anniversary! I can't believe its only been 2 years :) :) It seems we have been married a lot longer! Haha! Its been a great two years and to think of all the things we have gone through and will go through together in the future! We had the opportunity to go to Park City for a couple nights and it was wonderful! It was nice to get away and have a fun relaxing weekend! I having been loving the warm weather! Britt and I's new favorite activity to do outside is play tennis! We definitly arent very good but we are getting better :) which might not be a good thing because we are both very competitive and hard headed so Im not sure how much longer we will go without getting mad at each other haha:) He use to play with a couple of the coaches in Ephraim but now he cant play with them, he has to play with me.
At the park we go to, there are two courts and usually we are the only ones playing but a couple of times other couples have come. Well this one couple had to be newly weds because they were so gentle with each other. The husband was hitting it soft for her, etc... Well me and Britt on the other hand are hitting it so the other cant get it, trying to hit each other, etc. it was so funny! As we were walking back to the car we both started laughing! Ahhh the newly wed days:)

Last Saturday Britt and I had a long over due date night:) We went to Applebees for dinner! We have definitly taken advantage of all the places we can go eat because in Ephraim you have about 6 choices so we are loving the choices.. maybe a little too much;) Then we went to Monsters vs. Aliens and it was so fun! We got these super sexy glasses because it was in 3D. I was shocked how well the picture turned out because I took it in the theater. Boy was the flash bright!

Then grabbed a Jamba Juice afterwards which has become my new favorite healthy treat place! Then went home to relax for the rest of the evening. It was nice to spend time with him and talk. We still don't know where we are going to live but definitly by the end of May we will know!

Hey everyone! Wow so i dont even know where to begin! So for those of you who read our blog but havent talked to me recently this is whats happening...
First of all we didnt move to Bountiful, the day we were moving things Britt got a couple calls from other colleges interested in him so we dicided to get out of the apartment and move in to his parents house until we figure out where the best place for us to go is. So we have been staying with Britts parents for a little over a month. We are very lucky to have family that is willing to help us through this transition. In the mean time, Britt is working at Utah and I am working for Ogden City School District. Its okay for now but we are both getting to the point where we need to make a decision and go with it. Im sick of waiting... I need a plan and a place to call our own. Even though I have enjoyed staying with family, I feel like our lives are in limbo.... I feel we arent progressing our lives, we are just here. Hopefully within the next couple months we can figure it out and get on with our lives!
Next thing, luckily last week I got the opportunity to go visit Darbie in Minnesota and boy did I need that! It was a great trip but it sucks that they live so far away. Darbie always listens to me and gives me great advice! It was fun to just sit and talk, laugh, and hangout. Shes an amazing mom :) Brittan and Corbin are so fun to play with. I think everyday I was there Brittan wanted me to play in her room every second I could:) She is a ham and i honestly could just sit and listen to her comments all day. There were a couple times i had to look away because what she said was funny but got in trouble for saying it:) Still Im the aunt, I can laugh... Hahaha Corbin is doing so good. I got to watch him at his therapy appointment and he is doing so well. He's becoming a little more independent on certain things. He is a stud and I love them both so much. Thanks Darbie and Shaun for letting me escape from my crazy life for awhile! Iwould love to do it again soon! I might need to recover from my insane experience trying to get home:)
Last thing I wanted to blog about is Ear Wax Candles! Wow are they crazy. I had heard of them but never seen it done or what they even look like, so me and my sister-in-law Rennie went to the health store and got them. After doing it on each other we had to go get more and do it on the rest of the family. And then of course I took them to Minnesota and did it to Darbie and Shaun! Haha! I do have a couple pictures but I will have to post those later. Anyways if you have never heard of this you should totally do it. They are these hollow candles and you stick one end in your ear and you light the other end. I know it sounds crazy but my ears felt so much better afterwards. I would recommend it to anyone:) Just make sure you do it with someone who knows what they are doing... haha

We found an apartment in Bountiful! Yay! But we are moving this weekend... YIKES! I didnt think it was going to happen this fast. Thankfully mine and Britts parents are coming to help us! My brother is letting us use his snowmobile trailer to save money from renting. (Thank goodness for family:))The apartment is right off the 2600 S. exit which will be perfect for Britts commute. This way he is close to the stadium and I don't have to live in Salt Lake.
I am a true country girl because the thought of living in a city, scares the crap out of me:{ So this will be an interesting experience for me, Britt is already loving it at Utah!!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know Britt got a job with University of Utah (Utes) so we will be moving up north. We don't have an apartment or anything because we just found out yesterday. We are looking around Layton-Bountiful area because its cheaper than SL or if we can get student housing around campus we will do that. So if anybody knows of a place please let us know! Anyways I will keep you posted when we know more of where we are moving. We hope to be out of Ephraim by the end of February, maybe sooner! So Britt won't have to comute as much. Its kindof a bitter-sweet thing for me... Im very proud of Britt and the way he is pursuing his dream but i am definitly going to miss all my friends in Ephraim:( We made a lot of friends and its going to be a little hard leaving them. Its going to be really weird not watching the Badgers and watching/listening to them with Lisa... We know they will have an awesome season! Go Badgers:)

Our ward had a craft night and this is what we did! Look I'm crafty:) well kinda... anyways the black one is my sisters and the brown one is mine. I still need to get the magnets for them. The funniest thing about this project is at first I thought it was a cute craft but then i didnt know what I would use it for but I wanted it anyway. Then I called my sister and told her I made her one and she said, "Oh great! Thats perfect because I always loose my recipes while I'm cooking!" Hahaha when she said that I realized thats what its purpose was and I was excited because I also loose my recipes! Duh! Haha thanks Darbie for telling me that!!

When I went to the store to pick out the ribbon Britt went with me.... I dont think he will ever do that again. I couldnt decide which one i wanted and i kept asking his opinion and he just looked at me blankly then finally grabbed the ones I had in my hand and bought them. Let me just say he is NOT a shopper. When he goes to the store he wants to be in and be out... Thats why i hate shopping with him but sometimes it makes me laugh to see how mad he gets:) haha i know im mean but anyways thats my ribbon story. Thanks honey for the helping me get the ribbon:)

It's true! I got my teaching license today and can say I am officially a teacher! Yay! I havent really looked for any jobs yet because my life is already crazy:) During the day (8-3) I substitute at the elementary schools around south sanpete (when they need me) and after that I work at an apartment complex (3-6 office hours and we are also the onsite managers... I know right!) But we do get free rent which helps out a ton!
Going back to the elementary school, I realize how much i miss my students from student teaching :( they were so fun and easy to love! A funny story... I substituted on Friday and decided to stay and eat lunch there instead of going home and as I got my food and headed to the faculty room, the kindergarteners i taught saw me and ran over to give me a huge group hug!!! It was so precious, it was like they were my own swarm of paparazzi except they had hugs instead of cameras:) and luckily i made it out without getting ketchup all over my clothes(they had fries and corndogs with their ketchup for lunch) anyways I have enjoyed my experiences and cant wait for the day to have my own class!
Britt is as busy as ever recruiting for the upcoming season. I see him as much or even sometimes less than during the off season because he is the recruiting coordinator. Im just happy that we dont have to watch football EVERY night now. Even though i do love football, its really nice to get a break from it. Other than that things are still pretty much the same in little ole' Ephraim:)

We had a great christmas! We were with my family for christmas eve and Britts family christams day! It was so fun being with family! I am so extremely grateful for all of my family, when we get the oppurtunity to go visit I love it! My extended family has a christmas eve party every year and it was great to go this year! We played games, talked and had a blast!
Britt got a shotgun from my parents and hasnt stop talking about it since! After getting it he was like "Now i need a daughter" haha! I thought that was pretty funny... he even went out and bought a clay pigeon thrower and binoculars! Hahaha i definitly teased him about that one:) He got seasons 1-3 of The Office from his family and couldnt wait to watch them so thats what we did for new years... Played games and watched The Office, its pretty funny if you watch from season 1. Kinda made we want to go work in an office so i could pull pranks!
I got awesome picture frames and games from my parents and a new camera from Britts parents! We are so blessed and are grateful for the christmas we had!

I know this is a little late but its the end of the season and as usual I have mixed emotions... I will miss the games every weekend and listening to them with Lisa but I will like being able to spend more time with Britt! Here are a couple pictures of the coaches at a banquet they had for the palyers. One is all of the coaching staff and the other is the defense (thanks lisa!!) They are the best coaches! Its funny to watch them interact with each other. Its like they are brothers knowing what buttons they can and cant push and once one of them starts laughing they all cant stop!

I am so proud of Britt and the hard work he puts into his coaching. Long nights and countless hours! I have had the opportunity to hear a couple of his inspirational speeches during the game and it got me pumped up and ready to play! He loves his players like sons and would do anything for them! I love you honey!:)

On Sunday Darbie flew in from Minnesota so we met up with her, Brittan, Corbin and my parents in Salt Lake and went to Temple Square. While we were waiting for them to get there from the airport, I figured it was aperfect opportunity to get some pictures of Britt and I. It was nice to spend time together outside of Ephriam :)

When we met up with the others , it was so fun to see how much her kids have grown! Corbin had a blast with uncle Britt and Brittan talked our ears off! I seriuosly could listen to her for hours and be entertained!

As you can tell by the heading.... Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! I love the feeling that in the air, the stories that touch your heart, etc. Some much more but I wont go on! Here is a picture of our christmas tree... It barely fit! So this year there wont be a star or angel on top but thats okay! I havent put alot of decorations on it yet but there will be when I can do it!. It smells soooo good! My family got it for us the day after Thanksgiving in Parkvalley and i couldnt wait to get it up! Once again I had the oppurtunity to travel with Britt and the team on their last away game. Here is a picture of some of the coaches waiting for the game to start. I knew if i told them to look at me they wouldnt but this turned out okay! The officals were awful in the first half calling back 2 touchdowns, and countless dumb calls leaving the score 6-0 Phoenix at the end of the first half. But then coming back out ready to fight we won 19-12! It was a well deserved victory! The defense and offense worked their tails off. Me, Lisa, and Laurel were out of control! We were yelling and screaming to support our Badgers! It was a blast:) Unfortunately some of the players belongings were stolen from the locker room during the game. They know who did it, we just hope the players either get it back or they are replaced. It was disappointing and put a slight damper on the victory.
The bus ride was interesting as usual. On the way to Phoenix the defensive bus had a flat tire which delayed us 2 hours and then the offensive bus kept breaking down every time they stopped. Luckily they had it repaired before anthing terrible went wrong. Also both of the drivers for our bus would slam on their breaks randomly and everybody would fall forward. On the way home Britt was sleeping on the floor and i was sleeping on the seats and the bus driver slammed on the breaks and me and Stacie (who was across the isle from me on the seats) went flying on top of Britt :) Needless to say i am happy it wasnt the other way around ;) He woke up dazed and confused... I told him what happened and he luckily went right back to sleep! Haha! oh the memories!

Happy Halloween! I knew that if i didnt do this right away i wouldnt get them up. But here are some pictures of me and other teachers dressed up for halloween! The picture i had taken with the class didnt turn out... It was a fun day and it was hilarious to see the little kindergarteners faces when i put on my costume! It was fun! Also in Ephraim they have the kids parade in the halls and then down main street, well i didnt know this until after i purchased my costume so yes i had to parade down main street in my blow up hillbilly costume! Haha! It was fun though! I hope to see other pictures of costumes!

Last weekend i went with Britt to Arizona to the game in Glendale. We rode on a tour bus for about 11-12 hours. The ride there was good for me because i slept the whole way there. Britt is so busy thinking about the game he doesn't sleep as well. The only time i woke up was for potty breaks and when a player kicked me. It was funny because he was across the isle and still managed to kick me... alot:P When we finally got to Arizona I was a little worried because if you know me at all you know i do not do well in the heat... but i actually lucked out because it wasn't too bad and during the first half of the game it was pretty windy. The game went really well! They killed them and had a blast doing it:) (45-13) After the game we hung out for a little bit and it was fun to be around all of the coaches to hear their comments and to see how excited they were about the win.
The ride home is a different story.... The bus driver kept falling asleep, swerving all over the road and hitting the rumble strips. So my choices were either stay up and possibly witness our death or take Tylenol PM and hope we woke up... Well I chose the the drugs:) And of course Britt slept really well and didnt know any of this was going on but he is use to it because i have heard other road trip stories that are pretty scary.... Now I can truly say i understand:)
Anyways overall I had a blast with Britt and I hope I have the opportunity to do it again! I'm hoping I can make the Phoenix game when Lisa can also go!!!!

Today is my sisters birthday and i just wanted to say Happy Birthday and i miss you. So i want to tell a funny story about you so dont hate me too much. So do you remember we went shopping in logan and we were trying on shoes and you tried on a pair with the conector thing in the middle and you tried to walk and fell on your butt?! Hahaha! i do and i laughed at you for days! What an awesome sister i am! Anyways there is your embarrassing birthday story! Snow had their first game yesterday againt Air Force in Colorado. They won 56-17!! The defense and offense both did really well! It was fun to listen to, although listening to a game is more stressful for me than going and sitting in the stands. Haha! Although i can yell whatever i want at the radio and not fill bad:) dumb! But not bad!

Neices and Nephew

We have 4 neices and 1 nephew. Brittan, Corbin, Moki, Tinsley, and Mya! We love them so much and miss them everyday! They are so fun and growing so fast. Its fun to see each of their personalities!

Britt is done with school! Yay! He will recieve his bachelor's degree from Utah State at the end of August. He is in his 3rd season coaching the linebackers at Snow College. Last season they were ranked 3rd in the nation and are expected to play for the national championship this season! We can't wait for it to start!
I will be doing student teaching this fall. I will be with a 3rd grade class for the first 30 days and my last with the Kindergarten. I will graduate from Southern Utah University in December with my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and walk in May. I took the tests for teaching certification and I qualified to teach anywhere in the U.S. Woo Woo! I can't believe I am finally done with school!!! It will be nice to be done and to have a break!
